Over four conversations — and one memorable whiteboard session about offline-first sync — you showed us a rare combination of technical depth and product empathy. We're a Series A company, which means every engineer we hire shapes what Lumen.ed becomes. We would very much like you to help shape it with us.

Your Compensation

Base Salary

Paid semi-monthly on the 15th and final day of each month, less applicable withholdings.

Four-year vest with a one-year cliff. Subject to Board approval and the Company's 2023 Equity Plan.

For courses, conferences, books, coaching — anything that sharpens your craft. No approval gauntlet.

Time Away

Take it, and take it well. We require a minimum of fifteen days off per year because rest is not optional.

Work from anywhere in the continental US. We'll ship you a home-office setup.

The formal bits.

  1. At-Will EmploymentYour employment with Lumen.ed is at-will, meaning either party may terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice.
  2. Confidentiality & IP AssignmentThis offer is contingent upon your execution of the Company's standard Proprietary Information and Inventions Assignment Agreement.
  3. Work AuthorizationEmployment is contingent upon verification of your legal authorization to work in the United States (Form I-9) within three business days of your start date.
  4. Background CheckA standard background and reference check, already in progress with Checkr, must be completed satisfactorily.
  5. Offer ExpirationThis offer remains open until 5:00 PM PT on Friday, February 14, 2025. We're happy to answer any questions before then.
