Why we're here
The brief

You're opening Almara Saline on the Sonoma coast in September, and the launch library you have today was shot for a different hotel, in a different light. To sell the feeling of this place — salt air, long tables, low afternoon sun — the imagery has to be made here, on purpose, in one coherent voice.

This proposal covers a two-day production: a creative-directed shoot of the rooms, the restaurant, the spa and the grounds, delivered as a single edited collection of stills and short-form motion. Everything is built to drop straight into the website refresh, the booking funnel, paid social, and the press kit — with usage rights that don't expire the week before peak season.

The look we're building
Creative direction

One treatment runs through every frame: warm, lived-in, unhurried. We shoot mostly in natural light, lean into deep shadow and a single coral-amber warmth, and keep people in the frame doing real things — not posing. Editorial, not catalogue.

A. Light & tone

Natural light first, golden-hour anchored. A warm, slightly faded grade — film-amber highlights, rich near-black shadow — held identically across stills and motion.

B. Framing

Wide establishing frames for spaces; tight, tactile detail for food and finishes. Negative space left deliberately for headlines and the booking overlay.

C. Talent & motion

Two lifestyle talent, styled in-house, moving through real moments — arrival, a long breakfast, a swim at dusk. Motion is observational, handheld, quiet.

D. Consistency

A locked LUT, a shared shot list, and one set of edit rules so the suite hero, the Instagram reel, and the press image all read as one campaign.

What we'll capture

The two days are mapped to the light. Day one chases the interiors and food while the property is staged and quiet; day two opens up to the coast, the pool and golden hour, plus the full motion pass.
