Launch announcement for the AI Ad Generator: 8 ad types (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, X, YouTube thumbnails, display) in 30 seconds from $19/mo.
Generate Professional Ads in 30 Seconds With AI
Today we're shipping the AI Ad Generator: paid-ad creative for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, X / Twitter, YouTube thumbnails, and Google Display Network — all generated from a description in about 30 seconds, all sized to native ad-platform specs.
If you've used EZdoc to generate invoices, certificates, or proposals, the flow is identical. Pick the ad type. Describe what you're selling and to whom. Hit Generate. Download the PNG. Upload it to Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Pinterest Ads, or wherever you're running campaigns.
Key Takeaways
- 8 ad types covering every major paid-social and display platform
- 30-second generation, $19/mo plans include 8 ads/month, $49/mo plans include 18, $99/mo includes 40
- Brand kit colors and logo apply automatically when you have one saved
- Pass a website URL and AI matches the brand's visual aesthetic
- Native pixel dimensions for every platform — no resizing needed

All eight live under the new "Advertising & Promo" category in the AI Builder.
How It's Different From the Social-Format Documents
EZdoc has supported social-format graphics (Instagram Post, Story, LinkedIn Carousel, Pinterest Pin, Twitter Card, Presentation Slide) for a while. Those are organic content — the headlines lean informational, the design language is brand-statement-first.
Ads are different. The job of a paid ad is to convert. That changes the design rules:
- Headlines lead with outcomes, not brand statements. "Generate 200 invoices in 30 seconds" beats "EZdoc — the AI document generator." The AI follows conversion-copy patterns specific to paid placements.
- CTAs are prominent and pill-shaped. Every ad has one clear call to action in a contrasting color. No competing CTAs, no buried action items.
- Tone matches the platform. LinkedIn ads are confident, professional, and earnest. Instagram ads lean visual and benefit-led. YouTube thumbnails are short and curiosity-driven. The AI applies platform-specific conventions automatically.
- Brand mark sizing follows ad disclosures. Display banners require visible brand identification (these placements sit alongside untrusted content). LinkedIn rewards restraint. Instagram puts the brand in a corner.
How It Works
The whole flow is the same as generating any other AI document:
- Open the AI Builder.
- Pick an ad type from the "Advertising & Promo" category.
- Describe what you're selling and to whom. The right-rail tip card shows what details help (headline, subhead, offer, CTA, audience, vibe).
- Optionally apply a brand kit — colors and logo flow through automatically.
- Optionally paste a website URL — the AI matches the visual aesthetic from the site.
- Hit Generate. About 30 seconds later, the ad lands as a PNG in your image library.
The PNG is sized exactly to the platform's spec, so you don't have to resize before uploading.

Sample LinkedIn ad with B2B tone. The AI applies professional copy conventions, mutes the visual decoration, and adds optional space for a customer-logo bar — all from a one-sentence description.
Behind the Scenes: Why This Took a Different Architecture
Most AI document generation in EZdoc works by having Claude (Anthropic's Opus) write HTML, then rendering that HTML to PDF or PNG via Gotenberg. It's the right approach for invoices, contracts, and proposals — the AI writes real text in real layouts you can edit later.
For ads, we ship a different path. Path A uses Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model to generate the entire ad as a raster PNG in one shot. It's the same model that powers the bespoke illustrations elsewhere in our pipeline.
The tradeoff is honest: the output is a single image you can't click-edit, but the design quality jumps significantly. Designer-grade composition, real photographic depth where appropriate, hand-drawn-feeling illustration where the prompt calls for it — all in 30 seconds.
If you want a generated ad to be tweakable later (text edits, color swaps, layout adjustments), that's coming in a follow-up release. For v1, regenerating with a refined description is a 30-second step.
Brand Kits + Website References
Two places this gets interesting:
Brand kits — if you've saved one, the AI applies your primary, secondary, and accent colors as the dominant palette. Your logo (light variant preferred) gets passed as a reference image, and the model places it as a small wordmark in a corner of the ad without redrawing it. We covered the brand kit setup flow when it first shipped.
Website references — paste a website URL into the optional reference field, and the AI uses the website's visual aesthetic as a reference image. This is genuinely powerful. The model picks up the color palette, illustration style, photographic vs. illustrated treatment, and typography mood from the site, then applies all of that to the ad. It's the closest thing we ship to "make me an ad in this brand's voice."
If you don't have a brand kit yet, you can still generate ads — describe the colors and style in your prompt and the AI follows your description.
Pricing
Same pricing as any AI document generation:
- Free tier: 3 lifetime AI generations, ads included
- Starter ($19/mo): 8 ad generations per month
- Growth ($49/mo): 18 ad generations per month
- Scale ($99/mo): 40 ad generations per month
- Credit packs: 4 credits / $5, 10 / $11, 25 / $23 — never expire, work alongside any plan
One credit equals one ad. Generating an Instagram ad and a LinkedIn ad of the same campaign is two credits. We didn't carve ads out as their own pricing — they reuse your existing plan quota or credit pack.
For paid ad creative specifically, the math is striking. A $19 starter plan covers 8 generations per month. At $40-100 per ad creative from a freelancer or stock-image library, that's $320-$800 of equivalent value for $19. We're betting that low-cost generation paired with iteration loops produces better-converting ads than expensive one-off designer proofs.
What's Next (Phase 2)
A few things we deliberately deferred:
- Tweak with AI — describe a change to a generated ad and Gemini's image-edit pathway updates it (instead of regenerating from scratch). This is the natural next iteration.
- Bulk-merge ads from a CSV — upload a customer list, generate one personalized ad per row. Aligns with EZdoc's bulk-generation wedge for invoices and certificates. Real customer ask before we build it.
- Animated GIF / HTML5 banners — display banners ship as static PNG. Animation is a bigger architectural lift; we'll wait for demand.
- Other IAB sizes — display banner ships at 1600×900 (matches our Twitter spec). Sidebar 300×250, leaderboard 728×90, skyscraper 160×600 are on the roadmap.
If you've used the new AI Ad Generator and there's a gap, tell us. We're prioritizing what real users hit walls on, not what we imagine they'll want.
Try It
Open the AI Builder and pick an Instagram ad, LinkedIn ad, or any of the 8 new types under Advertising & Promo. Describe your offer in plain language, hit Generate, and you'll have a paid-ad-ready PNG in 30 seconds.
If you've been hand-designing ads in Canva, paying $50-100 per creative on Fiverr, or running Meta Ads Manager's auto-design tools, this is meaningfully faster, meaningfully cheaper, and (in our QA) meaningfully better.
